ForenScope is proud to collaborate with renowned contemporary artist David Roth for his first solo exhibition, ‘Prints’, presented at SEXAUER Gallery in Charlottenburg, Berlin. This unique series of four diptychs was created in collaboration with ForenScope, blending artistic vision with forensic technology.
A Fusion of Art and Forensic Innovation
The ‘Print’ series explores the tension between human curiosity and institutional rules. Each diptych began with a sculpture from the Louvre Museum collection, the world’s most visited museum. Using ForenScope’s 8K fingerprint detection tablet, fingerprints were located from a distance of one meter, followed by detailed close-up captures. This dual-perspective approach highlights both the initial scan and microscopic detail of latent fingerprints, turning forensic imaging into a provocative art form.
David Roth in his art highlights the often-unseen interaction between people and cultural heritage. Museums, such as the Louvre, are environments where strict rules preserve artifacts for future generations. Yet human curiosity inevitably leaves behind subtle marks. Through ForenScope’s technology, these once-invisible traces can become visible, raising questions about ownership, memory, and the delicate balance between protection and human engagement.
