ForenScope was among the advanced technologies highlighted during a live crime scene demonstration organized as part of the 27th anniversary celebration of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) in Ceará.

During the event, known as Mundo SSPDS, forensic experts from the Criminal Expertise Coordination (Copec) of the Forensic Science Institution of the State of Ceará (Pefoce) presented a simulated crime scene to demonstrate how forensic professionals collect and examine evidence in real casework. The scenario, prepared with a vehicle and a fictional crime setting, allowed visitors to observe the scientific methods used to identify, document, and preserve traces that may contribute to the clarification of a case.

Speaking during the demonstration, forensic expert Wellison Tavares explained that crime scene examination requires careful, methodical work in order to identify traces that are relevant to the investigation. He noted that experts rely on a range of technologies, including forensic lights, scanners, drones, and other tools to detect and record evidence before it is properly collected and transferred to the laboratory for further analysis.

Among the modern tools used in these field investigations was ForenScope, which supports crime scene teams by enabling the visualization of light spectra that help reveal latent fingerprints and organic substances not visible to the naked eye. Its use in operational settings such as traffic accidents, workplace incidents, and violent death investigations reflects the growing importance of advanced imaging systems in contemporary forensic workflows.

Forensic expert Narelle Tavares, who also took part in the presentation, emphasized the importance of crime scene preservation. She underlined that proper isolation of the area is essential so that forensic teams can work effectively and recover all possible traces that may lead to the identification of a suspect. She also highlighted the critical role of first responders and public awareness in maintaining scene integrity before forensic personnel arrive.

The demonstration attracted SSPDS staff members, students, and members of the public, many of whom had the opportunity to witness forensic work up close for the first time. For younger attendees in particular, the presentation offered a valuable introduction to the role of forensic experts and the scientific processes behind criminal investigations.

ForenScope is proud to see its technology supporting professionals who play such an important role in the pursuit of truth and justice. Events like this not only showcase the realities of forensic fieldwork, but also help raise public awareness of the expertise, discipline, and advanced tools required to examine crime scenes effectively.
