We are excited to announce that ForenScope has successfully participated in the 109th International Association for Identification (IAI) Educational Conference, held from August 11 to 17, 2024, at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nevada. As the largest global gathering of forensic and crime scene professionals, this event provided the ideal platform for ForenScope to demonstrate how our groundbreaking technologies are redefining the field of forensic science.
Pushing the Boundaries of Forensic Science
At this year’s conference, ForenScope unveiled a series of innovative products designed to meet the complex and evolving needs of today’s forensic professionals. Among the highlights was the Contactless LAB ULTRA, a state-of-the-art system that revolutionizes fingerprint detection by delivering chemical-free results on both reflective and curved surfaces. With its high coaxial imaging technology and a 32.5 MP HD camera system, the Contactless LAB ULTRA ensures that even the most delicate forensic evidence is captured with unparalleled clarity.
Alongside the LAB ULTRA, ForenScope also introduced the Contactless LITE, another cutting-edge device offering 100% contactless fingerprint detection. This system preserves the integrity of evidence on reflective surfaces and is equipped with a versatile light source unit, making it an indispensable tool for precise, non-destructive fingerprint analysis in the field.
For forensic professionals who require the highest level of imaging precision, the 8K Latent Fingerprint Detection System was showcased, featuring advanced multispectral technology and a 45.9 MP UV-VIS-IR camera. This system is designed to detect even the faintest fingerprints across various surfaces, providing unmatched clarity and accuracy in complex forensic investigations.
Introducing Advanced ALS Devices and More
ForenScope also expanded its portfolio with the introduction of two advanced Alternative Light Source (ALS) devices. The T-65 ALS-2 is a portable, next-generation ALS that combines spotlight and horizontal light in one compact device, offering up to 12 hours of battery life and wireless pairing with devices like the CSI Pro II, SuperSpectral, and 8K systems. The Pocket Power, a compact multispectral ALS, was another key highlight, designed for on-the-go forensic investigations and equipped with specially placed LEDs to reveal hidden evidence.
The CSI Pro II smartphone, with its advanced multispectral imaging capabilities, was a significant draw at the conference. Its built-in UV-VIS and polarizer high-resolution camera make it ideal for detecting invisible evidence, such as body fluids and powdered fingerprints, even on complex backgrounds.
Finally, the t-ZOOM+ DNA Imaging System was presented, showcasing its powerful optical zoom capabilities for detecting a wide range of forensic evidence, from blood and body fluids to gunshot residues. This system is equipped with advanced superspectral technology and real-time autofocus, ensuring that forensic examinations are conducted with the highest degree of precision.
Engaging the Forensic Community
Throughout the conference, ForenScope engaged with forensic professionals through interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions with our USA exclusive distributor, Evident. Attendees had the opportunity to experience our technologies in action, gaining valuable insights into how these advanced systems can be integrated into their forensic workflows.
The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing enthusiasm about the potential of ForenScope’s devices to transform their investigative processes. The live demonstrations highlighted the ease of use and effectiveness of our products, reinforcing ForenScope’s position as a leader in forensic innovation.
