The Pernambuco Civil Police (Polícia Civil de Pernambuco – PCPE) in Brazil has integrated ForenScope forensic imaging technologies into its operational workflows to enhance crime scene examination and fingerprint identification activities.

Advanced Forensic Imaging at the Crime Scene
The forensic imaging technologies we develop at ForenScope combine multiple illumination and filter options within a mobile workflow, enabling specialists to visualize forensic traces on a variety of surfaces directly at the crime scene.
Latent fingerprints and other forensic traces found on different surfaces can be visualized using appropriate combinations of light sources and optical filters. The resulting images can then be examined digitally and used to support forensic evaluation and investigative processes.
A Faster and More Mobile Examination Workflow
Our portable forensic imaging technologies extend advanced examination capabilities beyond the laboratory, making them available directly at the crime scene.

Practical Training Alongside Technology
As part of the integration of our technologies into operational use, practical training was also provided to fingerprint identification specialists in Pernambuco.
During the training, participants gained hands-on experience in forensic imaging applications, including searching for forensic traces on different surfaces, selecting appropriate illumination and filter combinations, and evaluating the resulting images.
