The Departamento de Polícia Técnica da Bahia (DPT/BA), operating in the Brazilian state of Bahia, continues its modernization efforts to strengthen its forensic investigation infrastructure. Among the new technologies added to the institution’s inventory as part of this initiative is the ForenScope CSI PRO.
The activities carried out at the Instituto Médico Legal Nina Rodrigues in Salvador aim to enhance the technical capabilities of teams working across different forensic disciplines. As part of this process, new technological solutions designed to help crime scene investigation teams operate more effectively in the field were introduced and made available for use by personnel.
CSI PRO in Crime Scene Investigations
ForenScope CSI PRO has been included among the systems to be used by the Bahia Technical Police for the detection of biological fluids and fingerprints at crime scenes.
Thanks to its portable design, multiple light sources, and filter options, CSI PRO supports the on-site examination and visualization of potential evidence. Its ability to help reveal traces that are difficult or impossible to detect with the naked eye provides a significant advantage during field investigations.
The direct use of forensic investigation technologies by field teams contributes to a more comprehensive and effective assessment of evidence from the earliest stages of the investigation.
ForenScope Technologies in Brazil
The Bahia Technical Police’s decision to adopt ForenScope CSI PRO as part of its modernization process once again highlights the growing importance of portable forensic imaging technologies in crime scene investigations.
At ForenScope, we are pleased to see our technologies being used by forensic science professionals in Brazil, and we remain committed to providing comprehensive and innovative solutions to forensic investigation teams around the world.
