ForenScope conducted an on-site forensic training session in Iași, Romania, on July 5, 2026, featuring the SuperSpectral Force and t-ZOOM+ imaging systems.
Throughout the training, participants explored a wide range of forensic applications, including the visualisation and documentation of body fluids, hair, fibres, bruises, injuries, bones, and teeth.
The t-ZOOM+ generated particular interest during the examination of bone and dental samples. Its advanced microscopic magnification capabilities and different light and filter options enabled participants to closely observe fine surface characteristics, structural details, and areas that may be difficult to evaluate with the naked eye or conventional cameras.
The system’s performance was especially impressive during an autopsy. Its high magnification capacity and practical design, allowed detailed examination to be carried out directly in the autopsy environment. This demonstrated how t-ZOOM+ can provide valuable visual support in situations where the use of a traditional microscope may be difficult or a classic camera and flashlights to be insufficient.
Participants were able to examine bones and teeth directly, gaining a clearer understanding of how high-magnification imaging can support the detection, interpretation, and documentation of subtle forensic findings without requiring samples to be immediately transferred to a separate microscopy laboratory.
The training also highlighted the advantages of portable, all-in-one forensic imaging systems for examinations conducted in autopsy rooms, laboratories, and field environments.
Technical discussions covered evidence visualisation, sample interpretation, bruising, lividity, injury documentation, and the important distinction between forensic imaging findings and confirmatory laboratory analysis.
